Just a little bit of Warriors Orochi gameplay for no real reason. I just felt like playing as Hyabusa to show my brother how his character controls in this game. I'll probably post more with other characters. There's well over 100 characters in the game, so be ready

I hate stereotypes
One thing that I hate, is that people like to toss stereotypes on people based on what they like to watch on TV, or do in their spare time. Why is it the assumption that people who watch CSI all day are somehow more mature than those who watch Regular Show all day? What shows you watch and what hobbies you have does not define your maturity. What defines your maturity is your actions and your mindset. Period.
I mean seriously. Who made the rule that adults have to be super serious all the time? What are we? Batman? This is probably why I hate most M rated games. They try too hard to be serious and don't want to do fantasy out of fear of being called childish. Take a look at celebrities. None of them are super serious they're happy, goofy, and silly as they want to be and nobody even bats an eye. Why do they get special privileges? Because they have money? This is a tired and dead mindset that needs to die. Until next time : Be you. Be true. Be human.

Daily Update 1-4-15
I also noticed i somehow just abandonned my Pokemon training, and I don't even have a good reason why. I know I've been swamped with work and oversleeping, but I usually have time to throw in a few matchs or a little bit of EV training. I'll be sure to get back on it, so that I can be battle ready and take on the tournaments and the famous youtuber, ShadyPenguinn. I'm really waiting and anticipating the next Nintendo Direct in hopes of getting more info and a release date on Splatoon. I'm going to be leading the Splatoon team for Empire Arcadia, so I'm beyond ready for this game.
In completely unrelated news, I can't help but notice that asian women seem to be obsessed with getting nose alterations. One of my friends is supposedly getting surgery on her nose to make it bigger. Last time Somebody did that it was Minzy from 2NE1, and we all know how that went. I was a mega Minzy fan, now I hate looking at her weird face. What gives? whats the big deal? Why do they like to change their noses? I believe in natural beauty not all this plastic surgery bull crap that seems to be the hot new thing. Even my girlfriend has expressed interest in getting her nose altered but i shot the idea down immediately. well, thats all I have for this update. until next time: Be you. Be true. Be human.

Daily Update 1-3-15
I'm probably going to hate to come back to the good ole US of A after my vacation. I know I'm going to love it in Thailand. For one, I'll be with my beautiful bride-to-be. I can only imaginehow full of energy she'll be and how excited she'll be to show me around the place where she grew up. I've only seen snippets of Thailand from Bizarre Foods and a few movies, so I should be in for a pleasant surprise. What I do know, is that it will be easy on the budget and I don't have to worry about over spending. Well, I don't have to worry about overspending unless she gives me the puppy dog eyes. Who can resist that? Tomorrow I get off of work earlier than I usually do, so I'll probably use that time to catch up on anime I should be done with by now, and play some Monster Hunter on Twitch. Yea, that sounds like a good plan. Thats all for this post. Until next time: Be you. Be true. Be human,

Daily Update 1-2-15
As of this post it's my mom's birthday, so on the incredibly off chance that she actually reads this, I just want to say Happy Birthday. Other than that, the day was mainly level grinding on Hyrule Warriors, and reading the Shaman King manga. I should probably get back on my Pokemon battles, so I can be ready for the tournaments. Its been a few days. I got sidetracked by pretty much everything from Shantae to Zelda. I will be modding out a 3DS to upload videos though. I'll stream almost everything I do in Pokemon to be sure to please my Pokemon fanbase. I haveto admit its been pretty fun hopping back in the thick of things, and learning all the new rules and techniques that i missed out on by skipping a gen and a half. What I'm really hyped for this year though, is Splatoon. Nintendo needs to go ahead and do a Direct announcing all the details, and tell me it will be available in March. I'm way too ready to play Splatoon. The wait is killing me.
Tribe Cool Crew is still surprising me on the anime front, and One Piece has gotten to a really good part. This whole story arc is admittedly longwinded, but it's so enjoyable, especially since we see the return of Sabo. I most likely will miss a few episodes when I head out on my vacation, so please, no spoilers people. I've been picking up random mangas lately and nothing has stood out just yet, but as soon as I get one worth tweeting up a storm about, you'll know. Thats all for this post. Until next time: Be you. Be true. Be human.
2015 looking forward
As for the gaming side of things, its no surprise to anybody that I'm a Nintendo fan. I'll defintely be posting more articles about gaming in general and Nintendo as a company. I have literally talked former Vice President of E-Stranged, Kashihime, to sleep several times ranting about gaming. So I figured why waste my words on somebody who doesn't know the first thing about gaming when I can just blog about it instead. Topic to look forward to include Why Nintendo should not become a 3rd party, Why creativity is dying, How indies can save the industry, and The death of the graphic whore gamer. So I will be flooding the blogs with content in the months to come.
The anime portion will be seeing big things as well. If you've been following me around the net, you know that I'm now a member of Anime3000, and I frequently appear on the A3K podcast. As well as all of the projects I'll be doing with A3K, I'm going to be doing some of my own personal projects and even contests where I give away DVDs and boxsets. admittedly I've been slacking on my anime due to work, but I've been filling the void with manga, which is a little easier to multitask with if i do say so myself. I've started on the Pokemon manga, because for some reason I've never read it before, and I've nearly finished Shaman King and I hate 4Kids more than ever now. I hope everyone really enjoys all of the content I provide in this coming year as I kick production into overdrive.
For those who just like to keep up with my personal life, I'm planning a vacation very soon. I'm in the process of getting my passport so that I can leave the country for the first time ever in my life and visit beautiful Thailand. My wife-to-be wants me to visit her homeland and meet her family before anything big like a wedding takes place. I'll be sure to post an abundance of photos from my travels and keep everyone posted via the Facebook fanpage, Twitter, and Instagram. If you're looking for me on either of those, the name is AWBrawler across all three services. Thats all I have for this post, so until next time. Be you. Be true. Be human.

Smart phone. Dumb People
I remember back when I was a kid, we were expected to have at least a little bit of common sense. Our parents could leave us in the house to go grocery shopping and say "don't open this door for anybody" and we'd obey that no questions asked. Try that now, and the kid will most likely open the door every time somebody knocks and maybe even invite them in. At what point did this disconnect begin? When did this donward spiral into senselessville start? If I had to narrow it down, I would say it is a combination of bad parenting, poor education, too much technology, and yes to a greater degree of any previous generation, the media.
Lets look at the first culprit in this diminishing of intelligence, shall we? Bad parenting. I grew up in the 80's so I had one of those old school, no nonsense moms. Thats not to say she was rude and coldhearted, because she wasn't, but she was not afraid to put her foot down. She would never let me or any of my siblings run over her like the children of today rule their parents. I honestly believe its a side effect from those good parents. I admit my generation is full of spoiled brats that went on to become the bad parents. My theory is that they felt wronged by their strict parents somehow, and decided they would be more lenient with their kids and try to have a friendship-esque relationship with them or not punish them as much. For example: when I was a kid talking back was followed by a rather authoritative "are you talking back?" or maybe even adding on more punishment. Talking back now usually results in the parents laughing and saying something along the lines of "he's a character." or "she think she grown". Okay, and thats the problem. if she thinks she's grown, but the adult and remind her that she's a child. I'm not saying beat the kid, but step up. be an adult. check the kid. Don't let your kid run over you while you just laugh it off because you want to be your kid's friend. Another factor is that people are becoming parents at a much younger age. At least when the parents of my generation had kids at a younger than usual age, they would step up and do the adult thing and take care of their kids. Most of these young parents just throw their kids on their grandparents or the schools. Which brings me to my next point of interest.
The school systems suck! Yes, I said it the schools suck, and you know why? Those same people who can't even be bothered to teach their own kids, are the teachers now, and they don't really care. They're doing it to get a check. I've lost count of how many teachers that come from my generations have literally told kids "I don't care!" and the famous "I got mine! You need to get yours!" line. Is this really who we want teaching our kids? So the already bad parents are throwing their kids to the even worse teachers, and they're just pushing them off on the computers. Teachers can't even be bothered to write up their own tests or grade papers any more. Now they have scantrons to automatically grade multiple choice questions. If they're lazy, how can they expect the kids not to be lazy? Then even if you do have a passionate teacher, the tools at their disposal sucks. I remember being in first grade in Mississippi and we got actual books that were filled with famous short stories. Now I see first graders with little pamphlet looking things printed off a computer calling them books. Education is the last thing we need to cheap out on in America. So, we have bad parents, bad schooling, what else is there to teach the kids? How about computers? Oh sweet Christmas, No!
So why can't computers and technology teach them you say? Well, the most glaring reason is technology can only teach cold hard facts not common sense, which brings me back to what i said earlier. They lack common sense. They can work a phone, a tablet, or a computer, but they can't think to go get tissue and wipe a runny nose. Every time i hear older people say that kids are getting smarter because they know how to work technology, i want to facepalm myself into a coma. We used technology when i was a kid too. Harder to figure out technology than "touch a screen and stuff happens". A monkey could figure out a smartphone if you gave him enough time, that is not a sign of intelligence. If anything its a sign of their lack of intelligence. Without a smart device to give them all the answers, you can see just how much they don't know. Everything they know comes from their technology, but thats not enough to function as a normal person. Their has to be some human being somewhere to show them how to actually behave like a person.
With nobody else around them to actually be a role model they then turn to the media. The media now has a bigger influence on not just kids, but adults as well, then its ever had on any other generation, and that really sucks, because this is also the time when the media spotlights stupidity more than it ever has before. Its almost as if the media is trying to convince people that being unintelligent, oblivious, and loud is cool, and they're buying it. I can't even pretend to understand why the most degrading, nonsensical, and downright stupid rap songs are becoming the most famous songs in our nation, but it is definitely happening. I'm not trying to demonize rap music, but now that it is full of more bafoonery than its ever had, its suddenly the music that all the young people like? Its cool to be stupid? The only reason i can think of is beacause smart devices have become their teachers and they don't want to think, they want you to think for them. As a result whatever their smartphones tell them is hip and happening, they just go with it, no matter how silly or ignorant it is. Who else do they really have for examples? Parents mostly don't care. Teachers either don't care or lack the material or even the time to teach them. That means the only two things left that has enough time to devote itself to them is the smartphones and the media. A deadly combination that leads to a society that we now see today. A society that spends money on automatic toothpaste dispensers. A society that thinks Reality TV is quality programming. A society that can't eat at a restaurant without taking a photo of it first. If we continue to follow this path we will eventually become nothing more than a society full of smart phones and dumb people.
